Rockies 12, at Brewers 7
The MABL Rockies and Brewers opened their seasons with an exciting ballgame in which the Brewers came back from a 7 to 0 deficit to tie the game and force extra innings. The Brewers, who were held hitless through 6 innings by Jason Clark and Steve Peavler, scored five times in the 7th and twice in the 8th to knot up the game. Neither squad could score in the 9th, but the Rockies scored 5 times in the top of the 10th with key hits from Jimmy Hemphill and CJ Martin, both of whom hit shots that would have been out of any yard and which rolled up the hill in deep left field of the Nealon diamond at Big Rec.
