Game two looked like it would be in the bag with one of the Cubs new aces, Ari Zigaris going for the Cubs. After tacking on two Runs for Ari in the bottom of the first, the Cubs were cruising. The Reds came back though and put two on the fourth and the score at the end of five innings stood at 6 - 2 Cubs. The Cubs bats were making some noise too and they tacked on another five runs in the sixth bringing the score to 11-5. Zigaris kept going into the eighth when once again the Cubs defense faltered and the Reds came back in a big way, tieing the game up at 11. But the Cubs came back in the bottom of the eighth and scored three more including two on a absolutely clutch two out, two run single by Hamilton Arendsen. Jim Grebenc relieved Zigaris in the eighth and looked a little shaky but the Cubs stayed with him in the ninth and Grebenc closed it out for the win. Lex Robins had a huge day at the plate 4 for 5 with two monsterous shots that weren't home-runs only because the lack of fences at Big Rec. Final score, Cubs 14 - Reds 12. After two big wins the Cubs record stands at 3 - 0 in the young season.
