The Brewers won their fifth in a row sweeping the Reds at Skyline Saturday. The Brewers took game 1 behind the strong pitching of Matt Frazier who went 8 Innings to win his third game in a row. Frazier started a bit slow giving up 6 earned runs in the first two innings, but settled down in the third by throwing his first of four consecutive 1-2-3 innings to stymie the Reds. Frazier also helped himself out w/ 2 hits and scoring 3 times. Jared Childs blasted his first Brewer Homerun going opposite field knocking in 2. Will Ascuncion also had 2 hits for the Brewers.
Scott Seigfreid pitched 4 shutout innings for the Brewers in game 2 as the Brewers jumped out to an 8-0 lead, but the Reds chipped away w/ 2 runs in the 5th, 1 in the 6th, 2 in the 8th & 4 in 9th to tie it at 9. Malcolm Heinicke drove in the winning run w/ a bases loaded Sac fly to Center to win it for the Brewers. Adam Lawlor collected three hits on the day. Frazier had two hits and knocked in 2. Mannie Nazzal, Matty Jones and Jared Childs also had 2 hits for the Brewers.
