Rockies 2, Brewers 1 June 21, 2003, 2:00 PM Game Recap
Rockies 2, Brewers 1
Mike Eberhart threw the game of the year, thus far for the Rockies, not to be outdone by the Brewers pitcher . The Brewers jumped out to an early one to nothing lead in the first inning, but that would be the only run they would score on the crafty veteran, Mike Eberhart. Mike Eberhart pitched all ten innings for the Rockies. Jesse Irwin hit a solo homerun in the home half of the sixth inning to bring the Rockies into a deadlock tie that would not be broken until a safety squeeze by Carrington Russelle scored Phil Lopez from third base, in the bottom of the tenth. Both teams played outstanding defense and got brilliant efforts from their respective pitchers.
