Giants 16, Reds 14
It was the Reds who batted around in the first inning this time jumping out to an early 6-0 lead. The Reds added one more in the second to make it 7-0 and it looked like they would be able to earn a split. But Matt White led off the Giants' half of the seocnd inning with a ringing double and came in to score on an RBI single by Giants' starting pitcher Jon Paul . The Giants scored 11 unanswered runs in total with 4 more in the 3rd and 6 in the 4th thanks in part to an RBI triple by Ian Nelson and more run-scoring hits from Xander Lowry, and the pitcher Paul. The Reds regained the lead with 5 in the 5th, but "Pope" Jon Paul settled down and went 6 innings to earn his first victory of the year. Andy Torvik had 4 more RBI for the Giants in this one and Mike Fogelman and Matt White each reached base 4 consecutive times. Tim Vogel pitched the final 2 innings of this game shortened by time for his first save. Reds' Tree/Shortstop Evan Meagher also stole home in this one.
