Brewers 8, at REBL Diamondbacks 5  August 2, 2003, 10:00 AM Game Recap Brewers 8, at REBL Diamondbacks 5 The Diamondbacks jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after 2 innings. The Brewers scored 2 on RBI's by the drunken & drooling Adam Lawlor too hung over to play the field and Woody who picked a good time to get his only hit of the day. The D-backs added runs in the 4th & 7th to lead 5-2. Facing their first loss in 8 games, the Brewers clutched-up and tied it at 5 scoring 3 runs in the top of the ninth highlighted by Slappy Stowell's 2 run single. Lawlor singled Slappy to third & then got caught in a rundown long enough to allow Slap enough time to score to tie the game before being tagged out. Matt Frazier in the process of completing his 7th game in a row, stayed in the game to shutdown the D-backs in the 10th. Fred Nazzall led off the 11th by walking, then somehow got picked off first doing his best Joe Meyer immitation. Matt Frazier walked followed by Jared " I like blondes" Childs single. Joel Russell, realizing it was past lunch time, hit a 3 run HR w/ 2 outs to put the Brewers ahead 8-5 where they stayed behind another strong game by Matt Frazier. Frazier struck out 14, pitched all 11 innings and won his 8 th game of the season.
